We are a non profit mental health and alcohol/drug outpatient program looking for a certified chemical dependency counselor/DUII coordinator. Our priority is to offer a position to someone that is certified as a CADC.
The DUII coordinator will be responsible for tracking status of DUII clients, including abstinence, UA testing, facilitate DUII Group and other duties related to providing services for our clients. Other duties consist of but not limited to assessments, individual service plans, treatment, family support, and group facilitation. We are an OHP provider so experience with electronic documents is a plus. We provide services for clients of all economical, cultural, and backgrounds. Our therapists are caring, nonjudgemental, and have a desire to serve the community.
The preferred beginning work schedule for this individual is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays, 9 1/2 hr shift and 1/2 hour unpaid lunch for a total 38 hours a week. Being a non profit, we are currently not able to offer medical insurance. We do have sick and vacation pay and 3 major paid holidays.

New Priorities is seeking a female Recovery Mentor to work in our non profit Mental Health &Addictions outpatient program. This position will provide mentoring services to the substance abusing client and their family.
Minimum required qualifications include: 1) Minimum of 2 years documented abstinence; 2) ACCBO certification for Addictions Recovery Mentor or willing to acquire certification within 45 days of being hired(NPFS will send successful candidate to required trainings); 3) Valid driver license and proof of current auto insurance (DMV check required). Applicant must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening. ( not necessarily eliminated due to past history). High School diploma or GED.
Successful Candidate must be committed to working with diverse community populations and community resources. Days/hours vary. Possibility to also work on CADC certification.
Recover Mentor duties will largely consist of the following (not be limited to):
• Direct interactions with clients who are assigned to recovery services.
Telephone contacts, which include talking with clients who need support and are feeling prone to relapse or make bad decisions. Also, doing reminder calls to clients who are scheduled for assessments, groups, individual sessions, etc.
• Collaborate with treatment team, agency, client's support networks, and community providers to address the needs of clients
• Transportation: taking clients to some appointments, when appropriate, if approved by supervisor.
• Helping monitor clients who are in residential (and detox) and incarcerated to stay connected with them and ensure that they remain connected to NPFS.
• Referrals to various services, when appropriate (i.e. primary care/medical services, community college).
• Helping clinicians with groups at the office. Providing back-up in groups and other treatment activities.
• Helping clients develop and connect to non-using recovery activities (how to have fun clean and sober).
• Conduct urinary analysis on clients as needed.
Work independently and as a team member. Must have the ability to get along with co-workers and community
Ability to function in crisis situations.
Complete attendance sheets, required report forms, documentation of services rendered and report client participation to Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
The recovery mentor will maintain a personal recovery program, if appropriate, as well as model recovery-appropriate behavior.
